What Bayside Locals Say About Our Emergency Plumbing Service
Emergency Services
Emergencies We Handle
- Blocked Sewer or Toilet
A blocked sewer or toilet can bring your whole house to a standstill, and it only gets worse the longer it sits. We’ve got the gear to find the blockage fast and clear it properly, not just push it further down the line. Once it’s clear, we run a CCTV inspection through the drain so you can see exactly what was going on and know it’s actually sorted. Find out more about our blocked drain clearing service.
- Burst Pipe or Leak
A burst pipe doesn’t wait for a convenient time. Whether it’s hidden in a wall, under the house or gushing out in plain sight, we’ll get it isolated and fixed before it costs you a fortune in water damage. See our leak detection service for more.
- Gas Leaks
If you can smell gas, it’s not something to sit on. We’re licensed gas fitters and we treat every gas call as urgent. We’ll find the leak, make it safe and fix it properly. Read more about our gas fitting service.
- No Hot Water
Nobody wants a cold shower on a work morning. Whether your hot water unit’s died, tripped or is just not keeping up anymore, we’ll get it diagnosed and sorted, repair or replace, whatever it actually needs. Have a look at our hot water repairs service.

Not every emergency fits a neat little box. Overflowing cisterns, taps that won’t stop running or tree roots through your pipes, if it’s urgent and it’s plumbing, give us a call and we’ll sort it.

A few quick steps can limit the damage and keep everyone safe until we arrive. Find your situation below and follow the steps, then give us a call.

Our Emergency Plumbing Process
- Get in touch. Call us any time, including for urgent plumbing emergencies, and we’ll respond promptly.
- We arrive on time. A licensed plumber attends every job, fully equipped to diagnose and fix the problem on the spot.
- A free, upfront quote. We assess the problem and explain your options clearly, with no call-out fee.
- Job done right, safely. All work is completed to Australian standards and backed by our lifetime labour warranty.
Burst pipe or water leak? Here’s what to do:
- Turn off your water at the mains. The shut-off valve is usually near the front of the property, in the meter box or under the kitchen sink. Turn it clockwise.
- Switch off the power at the switchboard if water’s anywhere near it.
- Move your furniture and valuables out of the way.
- Grab some towels or buckets to soak up what you can.
- Call us on 0400 633 804. We’ll sort the rest.
Smell gas? Here’s what to do:
- Don’t panic, but act straight away.
- Don’t touch any switches. No lights, no power points, no phones, no lighters, anything that could spark can set it off. If you’re inside and things are already on, just leave them.
- Open some windows and doors on your way out if it’s safe to do so, to let the gas clear.
- Head outside and find your gas meter, then turn it off at the valve.
- Get well clear of the house before you do anything else, like making calls.
- Call us on 0400 633 804. If it’s serious or you’re not sure, call 000 or the gas emergency line too.
Burst or leaking hot water unit? Here’s what to do:
- Find the isolation valve. On a storage hot water unit, electric or gas, it’s usually down on the bottom left. Look for a black knob or a blue lever.
- Turn it off. This isolates the water to the unit only, so the rest of your home keeps running on cold water while you wait for us.
- If it’s electric, also switch off the power to the unit at your switchboard.
- If it’s gas, there’s a separate isolation valve on the bottom left with a yellow handle. Turn that off too.
- Call us on 0400 633 804. We can talk you through any of this over the phone while we’re on our way.
Blocked sewer or toilet? Here’s what to do:
- Stop using all fixtures. Toilets, sinks, showers, the lot. Every bit of water you send down the drain adds to what’s backing up.
- Keep an eye on your overflow relief gully. That’s the grated outlet usually found outside near your house. If the blockage lets go there, it’ll overflow outside rather than inside, which is the better of two bad options.
- If the blockage is further inside, there’s not much more you can do besides staying off the fixtures. The water doesn’t have anywhere else to go, so it’s about limiting how much more gets added.
- Call us on 0400 633 804. The sooner we’re on the way, the sooner it’s sorted.

Do you charge extra for emergency call-outs at night or on weekends?
No. We charge the same honest, upfront pricing whatever the time of day, with no call-out fee, ever.
What should I do while I wait for you to arrive?
